About the Awards

The British Business Awards – Are you the best of British?

Britain is a byword for business excellence. Britain’s plethora of market leaders across the full spectrum of industry and longstanding worldwide reputation for innovation has not gone unnoticed, with China recognising these strengths. In 2013, average monthly exports to China exceeded £1 billion for the first time, while the UK is now the number one destination in Europe for Chinese investment.

Organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, the British Business Awards recognise and promote excellence in innovation, enterprise and endeavour in the British and Chinese business communities. The biennial awards have grown to become a prestigious feature of the business calendar, and consisting of eight categories, the Awards showcase a number of organisations and individuals who have demonstrated commitment to trade and investment in China. This year, the Gala Dinner, at which the awards are presented, will be on 10 November 2016.

The awards this year are supported by the British Consulate General Shanghai, The British Chamber of Commerce in China, British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong, The British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, The British Chamber of Commerce Southwest China, British Council, CBI, CBBC, City of London, Manchester China Forum and Visit Britain.
