2010 Award Finalists Announced
Shanghai, 24th June 2010 – The British Chambers of Commerce in China announced the finalists of the third annual British Business Awards today. From an extensive list of exceptional contenders, 40 exemplary businesses and individuals were shortlisted and applauded for their excellence in areas such as financial and professional services, sustainability, creativity and innovation, and their ongoing promotion of UK-China partnerships (see below for the list of finalists).
The 2010 awards, run in partnership with the UK Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo, continue to recognise the achievements of British businesses in China as well as returning UK alumni and Chinese businesses operating in the UK. The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner attended by VIP guests from the UK on the 7th of September. The dinner will kick-start a series of celebrations marking the UK National Day held at the Expo on the 8th of September. (For information on UK National Day events, visit www.ukshanghaiexpo.com).
At the event Joanna Fielding, Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai stated, “The goal of the British Business Awards is to celebrate people and businesses that demonstrate the spirit of innovation, enterprise and endeavour. We have seen some spectacular entries from a vast range of industries this year; Testimony to the broad range of sectors in which British business is successfully operating in China and proof that British business in China continues to go from strength to strength.”
