Entry Terms & Conditions
Each entry must be submitted online as a fully completed application form in English by a person authorised to do so. All questions on an entry form must be answered to qualify for judging or an explanation offered for non-completion. The British Business Awards 2016 will accept online applications only. Entrants may enter more than one award category or may enter more than one application in the same category, each award application must be made independently.
Your entry will be judged by an independent panel of impartial judges. The Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging process. The organisers and judges will not be obliged to justify the decisions or enter into any discussion or correspondence. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any application they cannot understand or decipher or may request clarification. All entry information will be treated in confidence.
Entrants for the awards must be prepared to receive media coverage (should the award organisers deem appropriate) and this should be accepted as a condition of entry. Corporate identity materials will be requested at the appropriate time. Short-listed entrants (finalists) will be required to supply additional information and material in support of their application and to assist in the administration of the awards and related events. This may include a short video introduction about yourself or company as appropriate to your application. Finalists will be invited to attend an interview with the judging panel to present their case. Finalists should be aware that this process will take place from September to October 2016.
Entrants will be expected to protect those aspects of their business that may be patentable, register able or otherwise secret and governed by intellectual property, copyright or similar legislation.
The British Business Awards organisers and awards sponsors reserve the right to publicise the results of the competition and use finalists and winning entries in press releases and case study coverage. It is a condition of entry that entrants will cooperate with the media. Winners may refer to the competition in their own publicity material following the approval of The British Business Awards organisers.
The British Business Award organisers and judges reserve the right to withdraw any award given should it be discovered that an entry contained false information. The organisers may audit any information supplied by your entry. The awards scheme is not open to the paid employees of The British Business Award organisers, employees of sponsoring companies (for the sponsored award category only), nor judges wishing to enter the award category they are involved in. The British Business Awards reserves the right to publish general information about the companies or individuals entering. Details of a confidential nature will not be published.
Final closing date for entries is Monday 15th August 2016 (Beijing time). Entries lost or delayed will not be accepted. The award’s organiser, award sponsors, or judges will not be subject to any liabilities related to submission. By submitting your entry to The British Business Awards you signify your acceptance of the above terms and conditions.
